Narnu Farm is located on Hindmarsh Island only one hour south of Adelaide where the mighty River Murray meets the Southern Ocean. Originally established in 1857 as a Shropshire sheep stud the property was transformed into a unique farm stay and school camp venue in 1979 and has been a much-loved South Australian tourism icon ever since.
Today Narnu Farm offers a magical farm stay set in a spacious and picturesque rural setting with rolling green paddocks and towering pine trees. We offer twice daily fun and educational animal feeding sessions where guests can get up close and personal with our adorable family of friendly farm animals. Enjoy bottle feeding calves, lambs and kids, collecting eggs, meeting Michael and Angelo the pigs, holding guinea pigs and chicks and maybe even have a cuddle with our friendly Emu Ollie!
Children are able to enjoy some good old fashioned fun in the fresh air without the need for technology. The farm has numerous play spaces including Fort Narnu, PS Narnu, playgrounds, swings, all weather sports arena, soccer, basketball, half court tennis, seasonal camps fires and a huge nature play space where kids can build and play in their own cubby houses. A recent addition is our games room with air hockey, table tennis and fuse ball tables. Great for just a single family or even better as a group, Narnu Farm is a memorable experience that will have you wanting to come back time and time again.
Narnu Farm is also home to Beyond the Classroom who operate their fantastic school camp programs with interactive and educational activities and a scrumptious home cooked menu. Multiple programs are available for primary school age and up.
